Kia Ora FM 89.8 is the local Iwi/Maori radio station that broadcasts from Wharite to an audience capacity of 120,000. We are the media arm of Tanenuiarangi Manawatu Incorporated, the mandated Iwi Authority for Rangitaane O Manawatu. We broadcast 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for the entire year. We cover part of the Kapiti Coast, all of Horowhenua, Manawatu, Rangitikei, and parts of Wairarapa and Tararua.

Our audience covers all ages and we broadcast in both Te Reo and English, so we have a diverse and multi-cultural listening audience.

Kia Ora FM focuses on music and issues which are current and which relate to the lifestyle of New Zealanders. Our listeners tune into Kia Ora FM 89.8 because we tackle the issues no one wants to tackle, we encourage community participation and we are local. We are not driven by ratings or profit. Our format promotes our culture, our heritage and encourages the involvement and growth of people, music and New Zealand as a whole.

Kia Ora FM Standard National Advertising Rates, are as follows:

• Peak $20.00 plus GST (30 sec) - (8 -10am, 12-7pm and 4-8pm)
• Off-Peak $15.00 plus GST (30 sec) - (All other times)

Event Rates
For local events in the Manawatu, we offer excellent rates! For a 10 advert package, you will only have to pay the following:

• Local Acts $100.00 plus GST
• National unsigned $150.00 plus GST
• National signed $200.00 plus GST
• International $250.00 plus GST

Sponsorship of Shows
These are great value for money! The show sponsorship package, includes:

• Full naming rights to the show;
• DJ Ad-libs during the show;
• Promo Trailer spots; and
• Free advertising to the value of the sponsorship.

On top of this, if you require any further advertising during the sponsorship period, we will give you a great 25% discount on the normal rates.

Production Costs
Costs of production are usually FREE. However, a production fee of $50.00 will be charged when:

• Your campaign has less than 20 spots.
• Your campaign has more than 20 spots but the advertisement is changed more than once in 14 days.
• More than one advertisement is required. In this case, the production fee will be charged per extra advertisement - ie: $50.00 plus GST per extra add.
